Arts in the Park is coming back to Boone AGAIN in 2018! I For the longest time we’ve only had Pufferbilly Days, which is great, but I love how Arts in the Park focuses a lot on all of the makers in our community.
When my friend Ashlie first approached me about setting up a booth I dragged my feet for sure. May is one of my busiest months. With seed starting, transplanting, bed prep, and setting up all of my marketing for the season, it can be a bit crazy. But I’m so glad she convinced me to be involved!
You see, the main reason I wanted to start a flower farm was to add value to our community. Through flowers I want to share all of the joy that can be found in a single bloom. There’s something magical in giving flowers because they represent who we are as people; each beautiful in our own way.
And that’s why I love using flowers to help people see just how special they are. One little girl came up to my stand at Arts in the Park while I was making flower crowns and we started talking. You should have seen the look in her eyes! It’s every girl’s dream to be a princess. We all want to be seen as lovely and flowers make us feel special. As she walked away she certainly looked like she was straight out of a fairy tale!
